Llanfairfechan one of my favourite beaches just before the sea turns into the menai strait, a wonderful place to beachcomb, and your always guaranteed to come home with a pocket full of seaglass and shells... Does any one know what that rock is with a hook in it ?? an anchor maybe and i've no idea if these ancient trees are tide breaks or an eel trap?? very picturesque whatever they are.....
And when the walk is done a coffee laced with brandy in the unchanged Arts & Crafts cafe .
Over here I'd say the sticks were for nets. That's how people here fished in tidal zones.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics.
Haven't a clue Jo - if you find out I'd love to know.
ReplyDeleteI love beachcombing - especially sea glass - apparently it is becoming scarce as more plastic bottles are used. Collect it while you can.
What great photos. I am hoping this will allow me to comment this time!
ReplyDeleteYes! success. Hope the back is better.
ReplyDeleteEy up lass! Lovely pics. I could spend happy hours on a beach like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely beach. Nice mix of sand and rocks and interesting stuff to rootle about in. I wonder if the rock with the hook in is for attaching a mooring buoy too?
ReplyDeleteHave driven past but never stopped. Will have to remedy that as it looks gorgeous. No idea about the stone but reckon the others have good ideas.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely rocks and stones and things. Great beach and lovely pics.
