A farmers toast!

Let the wealthy and great, Roll in splendour and state, I envy them not i declare it, I eat my own lamb, My chickens and ham, I shear my own fleece and i wear it, I have lawns,I have bowers, I have fruits,I have flowers, The lark is my morning alarmer, So joyful boy's now, Here's god speed the plough, Long life and success to the farmer!!

A multitude of things..

Bodran from the opposite hill...we're in the middle,
not literaly SBS..

Well since last week i seem to have done loads of stuff, but let me tell you about "He who grunts" first..
He's working in Chester at the moment, and he's passed his test to drive a dumper while he's been there.. They are doing the ground work for a new hotel near the race course......... An old building as been demolished first and as they where digging out the old foundations, and going deeper for the new ones, he noticed bones being uncovered!! They had unearthed a load of bodies or so it seemed, nothing recent thank heavens but what is probably a Roman burial ground.. Work as stopped on that area while the archaeologists are there !! fascinating stuff..

I went belly dancing last week organised by the W .i it was a laugh!! and i was hopeless!! my left side just won't wiggle..The teacher was very good though and may start lessons in the village hall, That'll cause some interest for the male population...

We went to Ludlow on monday to view a house that needs some TLC, Very very tiny no garden no parking not alot going for it at all really, but we need a project and i want it so fingers crossed..

We've had an offer on the llanrwst house which we've excepted so fingers crossed for that too,
if it goes through it'll make the ludlow scheme much easier....
The basket making course is on saturday, so i've got to think about feeding people, and i need to clear the workshop... but today i've decided it's new camera time so i'm off out to buy one now...
I'm not even going to mention the barn dance[ rave more like ] except to say I WAS THE FIRST TO DANCE And i look such a fool it stops anyone else feeling self concious and so they can get on and party..........Wasnt drunk Honest xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. Belling dancing would be such a laugh I could imagine. Not sure I would look a pretty sight though! Fingers crossed for the house. I take it you are up for a project?

    Good luck, Crystal xx

  2. Blimey! That's quite a week! Good luck with the house.

  3. So wonderful to hear that you bounce up to the dance floor first too - I usually can't wait to dance 'cos I love it and hate it when Dear Charlie says "Not now darling..." Dear Charlie is usually very embarrassed when I get as we call it "Bouncy, bouncy waggy tail." I think he finds it hard because there is NO excuse for it i.e. I don't need Dutch Courage!

  4. PS: Good luck withte Ludlow House sounds liek a perfect project.

  5. Bouncy Bouncy waggy tail!!!! Lmao..
mine should be the same but with " funny leg movement added!!
And the same here who needs dutch courage...xxx

  6. Oh no I'm always up first to dance too. A friend of mine is trying to persuade me to try belly dancing - I'm scared that mine will have too much of a life of it's own! Good luck with the Ludlow house.

  7. I am dreading my Welsh class - will have to take comfort in the fact that I can let rip on my blog!

  8. Ps - I'm sure Aftershave Man would be very interested in seeing some Lovely Laydees bellydancing - shall I send him over?

  9. Hello, that is indeed a bunch of stuff. Why is it that the camera was not purchased prior to the belly dancing?

Ludlow house project: good wishes sent your way!

The photo above your blog is so beautiful. You keep on giving me the view that my window will never deliver.

Is everyone now definitely back in school? Could we have another word from Nell?

  10. Good of you to be the first up at the barn dance, it is awful when everyone spends the whole evening glued to the chair until the last two dances by which time they are having so much fun but it all comes to an end before it has even started! Completely duff at belly dancing myself.

  11. Bellydancing? Good luck to you! Yep, hands up here for first on the floor to dance, and best of good luck with Ludlow. Glorious part of the world.

  12. You could imagine us all at a party battling to be First on the dance floor..x

  13. Bones bein g dug up - how exciting. Belly dancing is brilliant works so many muscle groups and is great fun. Women used to belly dance to entertain each other and not to entertain the men.

Good luck with the house buying and selling.

And as for the Barn Dance - straight to the naughty corner for fibbing about not being drunk . . .
