MOO And HONEY.
I feel i should have so much to tell,....
On saturday i'd seen advertised a cottage that was open to the public for the weekend, and i recognised it as one of my Derri's That i hadnt visited for years.. it has been bought by the landmark trust, And has been renovated to perfection...
I hadnt heard of this company before and bought their book while i was there..I can go and stay in my derri !!!! and i just may have to, it's only 6 miles away though, but i never thought for one minute looking at the ruin it was that it'd be possible....
Have any of you stayed in any of their properties, i am seriously tempted with some of them, and you can take dogs thats a bonus...
I'm still not in full control of my new camera, i can take the photos load them onto the computer but then they hide, i'll have to wait for a teenager to visit and find them for me.......

Teenagers do have thier uses sometimes!!
ReplyDeleteNo havent stayed in any Landmark Trust place but always wanted to!
ReplyDeleteMe too - had quite a few of their brochures over the years, but have never done it. A friend ofmine stayed at one of their properties in Scotland, though, and raved about it.
ReplyDeleteSounds great, Crystal xx
ReplyDeleteHave they got a web site - no not the teenagers - the Landmark Trust?
ReplyDeleteNo but would love to!!!
ReplyDeletesounds wonderful and you won't believe this but after turning down your invitation I didn't even do the blasted cushions - don't really know how, the day disappeared in a wet mess. I think I just needed a day off. Looks like we are on for the pc lunch on the 11th October, a thursday rather than Friday. Hope that works for you. xxx
ReplyDeleteThat photo looks like Pembrokeshire? I will look up the Lamdmark Trust.
ReplyDeleteA friend has stayed in The Pineapple and said it was fabulous. And another friend stayed in Morpeth Castle (a bit of it, not the whole thing) and I'm pretty sure that was Landmark too. they look gorgeous but pricey, if I recall.
ReplyDeletetake care, honeybunch. jxxx
There's one quite close to us, in Leighton just outside Welshpool.
ReplyDeleteIt's called Poultry Cottage and housed the Naylor (of Leighton Hall) family's poultry keeper. It stands in the middle of mature woods and next to the Poultry House. This is no ordinary hen-house - think vast Swiss chalet style. This poultry got stained glass windows, the works!
The cottage is pretty cute and, as I said, is in a beautiful setting. The Landmark Trust do have a website - and it's probably illustrated on there. There are open days occasionaly.
